Review: Chanel Extrait de Gloss

When I saw this photo at the back of CLEO magazine I HAD to get my hands on the gloss.

I didn't get the hot pink one. Instead, I got a light peachy pink one in Liberte. Number 54.
The application:

This gloss is like NO OTHER I've tried. I'm not joking. I've never been a fan of gloss but this gloss has me going gaga. Let me guess, you're not a fan of lip gloss because it's sticky? I hated gloss because of that too. I felt like my lips would always stick together and nasty dust from the air outside would stick onto my super sticky lips too. That thought grossed me out. But Chanel has surprised me.

The gloss is smooth, smells/tastes like vanilla ice cream, and is oh-so-moisturizing!!! It is not sticky AT ALL. That's because it contains shea butter which keeps your lips soft, moist and kissable. The SA at the Chanel counter told me it lasts 4 hours, unlike normal gloss which lasts only 2 hours. (But I usually eat it up when I drink or eat something so it doesn't really matter to me)

The gloss is slightly pinker in reality. And it is very very pigmented. So you don't have to apply a lipstick beforehand. And it's the only gloss which doesn't make my lips flake if I skip my lipbalm first. But that being said, it's always better to apply some balm first. :)

The verdict:
It is a whopping S$44 but it is well worth the money. I'm planning on getting myself another nude brown shade soon. If you only need one gloss, this is it. Yes, I used the word "need".

APPROVED.
